Market Engagement Event - Police Custody Healthcare and North West Counter Terrorism Policing: North West (CTP, NW) Healthcare for Greater Manchester Police (GMP)

<p>Custody Healthcare An integrated service delivery approach in custody suites between mental health specialist staff (GMMH) and police custody healthcare staff is still required. It is expected that both services will deliver person-centred care and drive an uptake of Liaison and Diversion screening. The future custody healthcare provider will be required to collaborate with GMMH to ensure effective referral between the two services. There will be requirements for both providers including the following: &bull; an ambition to utilise a shared care record &bull; develop shared patient safety and quality improvement plans &bull; participate in a joint stakeholder operational group &bull; develop joint training and organisation development plans &bull; deliver against the health and justice priorities for trauma responsive, gender-based care that is adapted to the needs of people with communication difficulties, learning difficulties and disabilities and autism. Community arrests, courts and support to offenders Reducing Reoffending Healthcare Pathways GM has a unique opportunity with devolved health and probation responsibilities to align Greater Manchester Integrated Rehabilitation Services - which is a co-commissioning programme with GM Probation Services and the GMCA with; the elements of NHS funded Liaison and Diversion; Reconnect (Prison Healthcare Pathways) programmes and; community mental health commissioning. This will seek to develop continuity of care from arrest through to prison release and look for consistency of intervention at different points in the criminal justice system.
