Car Park Cashless Payments

Tender description

<p>Gateshead Council currently operates 18 car parks which are open to the public, together with 13 on-street locations where parking is charged for. Some of these locations can be very busy. At all of these, both &ldquo;pay and display&rdquo; and cashless (telephone/app-based) parking are available. In line with other local authorities, the Council have experienced (and indeed encouraged) a shift towards cashless parking during the pandemic. The Council expect this shift to continue over time and are keen to encourage this. As part of this process the Council are conducting a Soft Market Testing Exercise (SMTE) to seek the markets views on the Council&rsquo;s proposal to undertake a procurement process to put in place a new Contract.</p> Keywords: Cashless Payments, Car Parking Payments, Pay by card, Parking Tickets, Parking
