Supply of Clay barges

Tender description

Waterways Ireland is seeking the supply of Steel hull marine vessels to operate as clay barges. A clay barge with an open shaped hull hopper and is required by Waterways Ireland to assist with construction and maintenance works on the Grand Canal. Its hopper section will be used to transport earth, sand, gravel and other such materials up and down canal sections to assist in activities such as toe-path conversion for use as tarmacked cycle/walkways as well as for dredging and general canal maintenance. Lot 1: Supply of 11 metre Clay barges The Barge shall be a diesel powered 10.95-metre-long vessel commonly referred to as a 11-metre barge. Lot 2: Supply of 13 metre Clay barges The Barge shall be a diesel powered 12.95-meter-long vessel with a beam width of 3.65 meters commonly referred to as a 13-metre barge. Lot 3: Supply of 11 metre & 13 Metre Clay barges The contracting authority may award a single contract for both barges, diesel powered Barge 10.95-metre-long vessel commonly referred to as a 11-metre barge and a diesel powered Barge 12.95-meter-long vessel with a beam width of 3.65 meters commonly referred to as a 13-metre barge.
