Tender description

Durham County Council is acting on behalf of the North East Procurement Organisation in conjunction with the HM Coroners for the North East Region for the procurement of a Framework Agreement for Regional Post Mortem Pathology Services. The Region is looking for two specialist Providers who can deliver Regional Post Mortem Pathology Services and only one Provider will be appointed to each Lot. The framework agreement has been divided into two geographical demand zones classified as North and South. Providers may bid for one or both Lots however they must include a preference and can only be successful for one Lot as determined in the ITT stage. Minimum service requirements are: • Post Mortem Examination - Autopsy (PME) • Post Mortem Imaging (PMI) • Minimally Invasive Post Mortems • Histology • Body Storage Lot 1: North Geographical Demand Zone The successful Provider is required to provide Post Mortem Pathology Services to the North Geographical Demand Zone of the North East Region. The minimum services required are: • Post Mortem Examination (PME) Autopsy • Post Mortem Imaging (PMI) • Minimally Invasive Post Mortems • Histology • Deceased Body Storage Contracting Authorities: The agreement will be available for use by all NEPO Members within the North East region.
