Provision of a Referral Tests Management Service for Laboratory Medicine, Cork University Hospital

Laboratory Medicine, Cork University Hospital (LMCUH) requires a referral tests management service to provide for the collection, transport, testing and electronic reporting of specific referral tests. The successful vendor must work with LMCUH in the provision and on-going management of such a service. For the purposes of simplification only, the provision of this service is broken into three Lots: Lot 1: Collection and transport only of samples required. Lot 2: The collection, transport, testing and electronic reporting of samples i.e. all services to be provided by the contracted provider. Lot 3: The collection and transport of specimens to a referral laboratory specified by LMCUH The three Lots comprise a single tender competition and only one supplier will be appointed to carry out the services required under all three Lots. Tenderers should only apply for this competition if they are capable of providing the services required under all three Lots. Lot 1: Laboratory Medicine, Cork University Hospital (LMCUH) requires a referral tests management service to provide for the collection, transport, testing and electronic reporting of specific referral tests. The successful vendor must work with LMCUH in the provision and on-going management of such a service. These samples are processed by various national reference laboratories and the cost is paid within the HSE. One collection per day is required between 16:00 – 17:00. Lot 2: The collection, transport, testing and electronic reporting of samples i.e. all services to be provided by the contracted provider. Lot 3: The collection and transport of specimens to a referral laboratory specified by LMCUH on the basis of clinical requirements as determined by Clinical Lead, LMCUH. The three Lots comprise a single tender competition and only one supplier will be appointed to carry out the services required under all three Lots. Tenderers should only apply for this competition if they are capable of providing the services required under all three Lots.
