<p>Oxfordshire&rsquo;s multi-agency safeguarding arrangements for both vulnerable adults and children are partnership led by key statutory organisations across the county; the respective partnerships for these arrangements are called the Oxfordshire&nbsp; &nbsp; Safeguarding Adults Board (OSAB) and the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (OSCB). The children&rsquo;s arrangements, in particular, are led by Oxfordshire County Council, Thames Valley Police and NHS Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>Working Together to Safeguard Children&rsquo; 2018 - Chapter 1 paragraph requires<a href="#_ftn1" name="_ftnref1">^{<strong>[1]</strong>}</a> the local safeguarding partners to deliver Multi-agency training collective understanding of local need and the services available to support children and&nbsp; young people.</em></p> <p>2.2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Each partnership has a role in safeguarding training for local practitioners as well as in ensuring that safeguarding messages in terms of practice improvement, learning and resources are communicated clearly.&nbsp; With respect to the children&rsquo;s arrangements, in particular,&nbsp; &lsquo;Working Together&rsquo; Chapter 1 paragraph requires[1]&nbsp; the local safeguarding partners to deliver Multi-agency training collective &nbsp; understanding of local need and the services available to support children and young people&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="#_ftnref1" name="_ftn1"><em><strong>[1]</strong></em></a><em> 5. Multi-agency training will be important in supporting this collective understanding of local need and the services available to support children and young people. Practitioners working in both universal services and specialist services have a responsibility to identify the symptoms and triggers of abuse and neglect, to share that information and provide children with the help they need. To be effective, practitioners need to continue to develop 5 Section 10 of the Children Act 2004 requires each local authority to make arrangements to promote co-operation between the authority, each of the authority&rsquo;s relevant partners and such other persons or bodies working with children in the local authority&rsquo;s area as the authority considers appropriate.14 their knowledge and skills in this area and be aware of the new and emerging threats, including online abuse, grooming, sexual exploitation, child criminal exploitation and radicalisation. Practitioners should also continue to develop their understanding of domestic abuse, which includes controlling and coercive behaviour from perpetrators of domestic abuse, and the impact this has on children.
