The departure of the Strategic Director, ASC was confirmed with effect from September 2021. The Chief Executive required interim leadership capacity to work with the portfolio holder and leadership team in ASC and Public Health. Due to the nature of the skills and experience required, and a restricted market in which to source highly experienced candidates of the calibre required, four specialist Interim Search Companies were approached direct to provide CVs of prospective interim candidates. The suitable candidate was interviewed, assessed and appointed for three days a week for six months. DBS checks and full references are in place. ‘Off-payroll working’ legislation applies to this role. A contract will be in place between Cornwall Council and Odgers Interim. A PO will be raised, and direct invoices paid monthly. Establishment costs for the full time post are in the budget.
