Spending review board attached and The Cabinet has approved expenditure in excess of 250K. Cabiinet report 23a, item no, ES/10 was approved on 27.08.21. (i)The recommendation: approval be granted for an exemption from the advertising requirements of the Contracts Standing Orders for the purchase of travel tickets from Merseytravel (as detailed in the report submitted) on the grounds that the supplies sought are of a specialist nature such that competitive prices cannot be obtained (as specified in paragraph 4.2 of the Contracts Standing Orders); and (ii) authority be granted for the City Council to enter into a contract with Merseytravel for the provision of travel tickets for the next academic year 2021/2022
