Tender description

We are looking to commission an independent organisation to critically challenge the engagement process of Community Conversation as well as ensure integrity of the process and maintain the project’s independence from the Council. We expect the organisation to provide Quality Assurance (QA) to be a specialist in engagement and deliberative democracy to help us raise the levels and quality of participation. OUTCOMES We want to make sure that our engagement process throughout Community Conversations is of high quality and standard and tailored to the issue of ‘Making a living’. Therefore, we expect the QA activities to achieve the following outcomes: • identify and overcome any barriers to involvement • ensure we use methods of engagement that are fit for purpose • ensure we use clear procedures to enable the participants to work with one another efficiently and effectively • ensure the necessary information is communicated between the participants • ensure work effectively with others with an interest in the engagement • identify ways we can develop actively the skills, knowledge and confidence of all the participants • support us to appropriately feedback the results of the engagement to the wider community and agencies involved so that the process is not one way • monitor and evaluate whether the engagement meets its purposes and challenge us to continuously refine the approach to ensure that we are securing input from all people and organisations with an interest in the focus of the engagement
