The Environmental and Neighbourhoods Directorate requires the services of a dedicated Health and Safety specialist (qualified to at least Grad IOSH or equivalent standard) to provide consultancy to assist with ensuring health and safety compliance within specific services and ongoing guidance and advice whilst operating in a Covid-Secure way to keep the public, residents and staff safe. We have a requirement for expert support and advice in health and safety practice, procedures and legislation for the following areas Parks, Parking and Operational Facilities Management. Ability and capacity for delivering IOSH managing safely training both remotely and face to face. Projects to include development of local policies and safe working procedures. Skills and experience required in working alongside frontline staff to generate practical working solutions. Anticipated duration of service requirement is a minimum of three days per week for one year with scope to increase in line with changing service needs.
