The post holder will provide technical advice on the Measures to be included in the new Energy Efficient Scotland national scheme. This will include; - horizon scanning to identify measures that may be suitable for inclusion in the scheme - advising the procurement lead on potential measures and providing balanced guidance on their potential appropriateness and efficacy as part of the Warmer Home Scotland offer. - providing detailed technical specifications of the measures to be included in the contract specification - working closely with the procurement lead to develop the technical aspects of the contract specification and - evaluation of the technical aspects of bids Essential Skills and Competencies A qualified surveyor or M&E engineer A good understanding of existing and emerging domestic renewable technologies and low carbon solutions Experience of working in the energy sector Knowledge of the requirements of heating and insulation installations Desirable A good understanding of PAS2030 and PAS2035 A qualified Retrofit Assessor Knowledge of MCS requirements Knowledge of the energy supplier requirements from the Energy Companies Obligation Competence with MS Office (Word andExcel)
