Technical and Presentation Mapping Service

Tender description

Fáilte Ireland wishes to engage a Geographic Information System (GIS) consultant to provide it with GIS analysis and mapping services as required to inform its tourism analysis and planning activities. This will involve utilising Failte Ireland’s own spatial data as well as spatial data from a number of external sources for which Failte Ireland has permission to use to undertake GIS analysis and produce a series of maps to illustrate different aspects of the supply and demand sides of tourism in Ireland. The scale of this analysis and mapping will range from all of the Republic of Ireland to Fáilte Ireland’s regions (Dublin, Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands) as well as local tourism destinations. The requirement will also involve the compilation, analysis and synthesis of a number of other tourism data sets (national and local) which are not owned by Fáilte Ireland but which we will acquire and will have permission to use.
