Job Title: Licensing Officer x 1 Rate of Pay: £10.83 per hour PAYE (This role falls inside of IR35) Hours: 37 Hours per week (working hours are 7.45 am to 12 noon and 1.00 pm to 4.15 pm Monday to Thursday and until 3.45 pm on a Friday) Location: Office Based- Waterfall Lane, Cradley Heath, West Midlands, B64 6RL Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency 12 weeks Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Taxi Licensing Team as a Licensing Officer. We are looking for a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a difference. Job Summary: You will assist in the processing of applications for driver, vehicle and operator licenses in line with the Council's Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy, give advice and guidance in licensing matters both on the phone and in person and give evidence in court in person as and when required. A knowledge of taxi and private hire licensing is desirable, with experience of dealing with the public in a front-line capacity being essential. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs. No DBS is required for this role.
