Design & Build of a Wellness Centre

Tender description

Swansea Bay University Health Board (“the UHB”) has taken the decision to award a public works contract to Coastal Housing (“Coastal”) who is a Registered Social Landlord. The obligations to design and build which give rise to the creation of a public works contract are contained in a development agreement. This development agreement relates to a site located at 1st & 2nd Floor, 34A Orchard Street, Swansea SA1 5AW (“the site”). The site will be developed to provide a Wellness Centre. The contract is the design and build of the Wellness Centre. The contract is the design and build of the Wellness Centre. The Wellness Centre will provide a wide range of services under one roof including a GP surgery and Pharmacy. The Wellness centre will work with a range of delivery partners including local authorities, housing associations and the third sector, to bring together a range of public services into a community hub. The underlying ethos of the new Swansea Wellness facility is that it will provide improved facilities for healthcare and co-located services that will facilitate better pathways that support wellbeing and prevention in the broadest sense.
