Bideford Town Centre & Seaside Towns COVID Unlock Marshal Scheme 2021

Torridge District Council’s Community Safety Partnership propose to appoint SIA licensed security staff to provide public health support to businesses, residents and the public to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and to protect the most vulnerable in our communities during the daytime in Bideford Town Centre. This scheme will provide high visibility uniformed patrols of our town centre between the following hours: Sun – Sat 10.00 – 17.00 This provides a total of 49 hours per week. In addition the scheme will also include SIA licensed security staff to provide public health support to businesses, residents and the public to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and to protect the most vulnerable during the daytime and to support the evening night time economy in our seaside towns such as Westward Ho! and Appledore. This scheme will again provide high visibility uniformed patrols of our seaside towns between the following hours: Sunday – Thursday 10.00 – 17.00 / 17.00 – 24.00 Friday – Saturday 11.00 – 18.00 / 18.00 – 01.00 This provides a total of 98 hours per week. These joint schemes will run from Monday 20th September 2021 for a period of 8 weeks ending on Sunday 12th November 2021.
