Architectural Design Service for newbuild housing at Plas Penlan, Llangefni

Tender description

The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Architect for the design of an affordable housing development. The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant to undertake the design of low-carbon bungalows and or flats for older people complying with DQR, Lifetime Homes, Secure by Design and Design Commission for Wales Standards. The intention is to apply for Welsh Government grant funding, so all design work will have to follow WG’s procedures for Social Housing Grant. The successful Consultant is to be responsible for detailed design (RIBA Stage 4) and to achieve full planning consent. Construction work will then be undertaken by the successful contractor on a design & build contract basis. Tenders must be submitted via the sell2wales postbox facility by 12:00pm on the 01/09/2021. Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems.
