Provision of Lone Worker Devices for Somerset County Council

Tender description

The project was endorsed by a steering group to oversee a wider project with the aim of creating a standard lone working process for all areas of the organisation and assess whether additional measures were required to improve the safety of employees that operate in a lone working environment. As part of this project, a number of requirements and recommendations were realised which included the need for personal safety devices to provide an additional layer of protection to those workers. Key staff include social workers within Adults and Children's services, AONB, transport services, Facilities Management as well as other public-facing roles. Since the onset of Covid-19 there is now added urgency to these needs due to the number of staff having to spend time more working alone. Values within this notice are for the initial contract period only. The contract has two x 12 months optional extensions taking the total full contract value to £134,640. Lot 1: This was an Open Above Threshold procedure which was available to access via the ProContract e-tendering portal.
