NextGen Nursing - Specialist Schools Commission

NextGen Nurse will continue to engage young people who have not considered or decided on a career in nursing, alongside those wanting to find out more. We want to continue to run workshops (virtual for the foreseeable, but able to change to face-to-face if wanted) to give young people an introduction to nursing, as well as coaching to give young people a deeper dive into each of the four fields and an opportunity to develop skills. Some of the feedback from previous participants has been to find out about more about specific areas, or to focus on one field of nursing. We want to build in some special sessions which can be used to test new sessions and topics, but also to join in with wider campaigns We are appointing a provider to demonstrate the potential reach and impact of a partnership with the NHS to run an exciting programme to help inform young people in disadvantaged schools across England about the range of careers available in nursing.
