Moatville House is located in Charleville, Co Cork. The house was built in 1730 complete with a Georgian facade set in beautiful walled gardens and 12 acres of grounds. Ballyhoura Development CLG are leading a process to guide thinking and decisions on future development and operational arrangements that could positively benefit the community of Charleville and the wider hinterland. The tender is for Phase 1 which will undertake: a) a consultation and review. b) identify future use option development and selection of a preferred concept. c) completion of an outline feasibility, planning and design process. The concept development, feasibility plans and design process will set out the social, economic environmental case for the re-purposing of Moatville House and grounds. The overall approach to the development of Moatville House will be based on a consensus approach, agreed between the current landowner and key stakeholders, to ensure that views regarding future development are considered and managed throughout the process.
