Summary of the work Will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to define and deliver a content strategy for Acas's Individual Dispute Resolution service to help users understand how and when to notify Acas of an employment tribunal claim, and to get the most of early conciliation for effective resolution of their dispute. Specialist role Content designer Expected Contract Length Initially 12 months with option to extend Latest start date Tuesday 27 July 2021 Maximum Day Rate Up to £800 ex VAT per day. Working hours of 9 - 5.15 excludes travel expenses to Victoria St. Additional expenses only paid with prior approval of Acas. Who Speclialist Work With The role will be part of a multi disciplinary team that includes product and delivery managers, content designer, user researcher, with support from technical and service design specialists. It will be part of a larger programme transforming the individual dispute resolution service and the role will be expected to provide advice and expertise to other workstreams as required. the programme will include individual contractors and third party suppliers as well as digital, technology and operations specialists and from Acas. Part of the role will be to help upskill an associate content designer What Specialists Work On The Content strategist will take a service-wide view including a) audit existing content b) develop user journeys for different types of users c) work in a multi disciplinary team to plan, develop, test and iterate the content across the different journeys d) explore, test and apply the best approaches to delivering content including text content and potentially video e) work with service owner and head of content design/digital to agree processes and governance e) define a support model and costs for long term maintenance of content developed f) work across programme streams and BAU to provide additional content expertise Skills & Experience • Experience developing and implementing a digital content strategy for a complex, multi-channel, statutory government service (40%) • 3+ years experience working as part of an agile multidiscipilnary team to develop and iterate digital content (20%) • Experience working to and effectively applying the Government Service Standard to delivery of digital content (15%) • Experience working as part of a complex service-wide programme, identifying dependencies and risks (15%) Nice to Haves • Experience designing content for a large scale dispute resolution service (5%) • Experience working with content management systems and HTML5 (5%) Work Location Windsor House, Victoria St, Westminster, London SW1H 0TL Working Arrangments This will be primarily a remote role, with regular (potentially weekly or twice a week) travel to the main office in Victoria St. Acas will pay travel expenses to locations outside London.
