Tender description

The Scottish Prison Service is an executive agency of the Scottish Government tasked with managing prisons and Young Offender Institutions in Scotland. The current SPS Prisoner Records system is aged and reaching end of mainstream support, and cannot provide a modern digital platform to allow the SPS to transform its processes, and vastly expand it data set, to meet its strategic objectives. Through a phased replacement, the SPS wish to develop a new cloud based loosely coupled modular application through Agile development, based on micro services, open source/open standards, and cloud commodities that will transform operational processes and deliver an individualised asset based approach with those in SPS care. The method of procuring these services has yet to be determined.
