Tender for the supply of a Traction Aid Machine for use in the Forestry Sector

Brophy Timber Services Ltd request tenders for the supply of traction aid equipment for use in the forestry sector. We require this specialist piece of equipment to aid in the harvesting and extraction of specialist/environmentally sensitive sites. These sites are often very steep terrain or very peaty soils or a combination of both. Currently these sites are almost in-accessible except for the use of excavators to construct access tracks at angles across the slopes. We see the traction aid machine as being vital going forward to operate successfully on difficult, environmentally sensitive sites. The traction aid allows a conventional timber machine traverse these sites without completely disrupting the natural ground conditions. The traction aid must be capable of assisting a conventional timber machine weighing approx. 24 tonnes operating at an approx. angle of 45 deg.
