Tender description

Highways England (the Client) is seeking the provision of services to undertake research into technical aspects in relation to walking, cycling and horse-riding design. These elements are contained in CD 143: 'Designing for walking, cycling and horse-riding'. To ensure CD143 remains relevant for today's needs for walkers, cyclists and horse riders, this task will undertake research specific to the geometric parameters that inform provision for shared use facilities for walkers and cyclists and horse riders. Cycle specific facilities are covered in a separate standard CD 195 'Designing for cycle traffic' and will not form part of this research.
