Tender description

KCC, Children, Young Person and Education (CYPE) Directorate, wishes to commission a provider to deliver a Motivational Interviewing training programme to support a new Practice Framework implementation. Motivational Interviewing is a counselling method that helps people to resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the motivation to change behaviour. The Supplier must deliver a Motivational Interviewing Training Programme for the Council's Integrated Children's Service to: a) bring about better engagement with families and supporting change to improve outcomes for children; and b) facilitate a culture shift that will see workers approach families with a different language and a different attitude, designed to overcome parent's resistance to accept the help on offer to address their challenges and achieve better outcomes for their children.
