Princes Parade Leisure Centre Management Contract

<p>Folkestone &amp; Hythe District Council is now seeking to procure the services of a suitable, experienced operator in the leisure management contract to operate the new Princes Parade Leisure Centre in Hythe, Kent. The new centre will be a high quality wet and dry sport and leisure facility and will replace the existing Hythe Swimming Pool (CT21 6AR), a facility that has reached the end of its intended life. The new facility will be located at the eastern end of Princes Parade in Hythe, about 1&frac12; miles to the east of the existing pool. The new centre will comprise of the following: &bull; 25m x 6-lane competition equipped swim pool &bull; Spectator seating (100 person) &bull; 12m x 4 lane teaching pool (visible from the caf&eacute; seating area) &bull; Swim village changing and dry changing facilities &bull; 100-station fitness gym &bull; 3 Fitness Studios &bull; Caf&eacute;/vending &bull; 185 spaces and 2 coach bays. The Council has appointed BAM under a two-stage design and build contract to construct the new centre. This tender concerns the long-term management contract for the Centre. The construction of the new centre will commence in February 2022 and is due for completion in September 2023. The leisure management contract will commence at this point and will be for an initial period of 10 years (with an option at the absolute discretion of the Council to extend the contract period by a period or periods of up to a maximum of 5 additional years).</p> Keywords: Management, Recreational, Sports Facility , Operation Services
