Tender description

Belfast City Council (“the Council”) has numerous lift installations in various buildings throughout the Belfast area. The Council now seeks competitive tenders from lift contractors with a view to awarding a Specialist Measured Term Contract for the planned preventative maintenance of lifts, to a successful tenderer (“the Contractor”) on the following basis:- • A 1 year plus 4 years optional planned maintenance comprehensive contract on all passenger/goods lifts whereby the Contractor undertakes, for a specified all-inclusive consideration, to carry out all call outs, service, labour and parts associated with the maintenance of the lift system as detailed in appendix 1, including cover during working hours as well as an emergency 24 hour a day 365 days a year cover. • A 1 year plus 4 years planned maintenance basic contract on all platform and service lift installations to the manufacturers recommended regime of the lift systems as detailed in appendix 1, including labour costs but excluding any parts, with chargeable call outs during working hours and emergency 24 hour a day 365 days a year cover. Lot 1: Contractors should note that this tender is awarded on a two stage evaluation process. The first stage requires the contractor to provide information as detailed in Instructions to Tender and is subject to a pass or fail score. Only contractors who pass all the quality evaluation criteria with a pass requirement will be considered for stage two. The second stage requires the contractor to show separate stand alone prices for each lift or escalator as detailed in Section 4, Schedule of Costs and will be awarded on the basis of the lowest price which fully complies with the specification.
