Brief description of the requirement Dyfed-Powys Police own a tower and site at Pen-Y-Fforest where ESN Air has a requirement to deploy. Dyfed-Powys Police require the tower structure to be checked as part of an application to ascertain if the tower has capacity and/or requires structural works to enable ESN Air to deploy on such structure. North Wales Police (NWP) own a tower and site at Llanddona where ESN Air has a requirement to deploy. NWP require the tower structure to be checked as part of an application to ascertain if the tower has capacity and/or requires structural works to enable ESN Air to deploy on such structure. Dyfed-Powys Police, Glynde Estates, NWP (tower owners) have each selected MFD Communications Infrastructure Ltd (MFDCI) as their only supplier to undertake tower structural checks, structural design works and structural works on their towers. The Authority is required to use MFDCI to undertake tower checks and any structural works on these towers in order to progress the respective site share applications. Business considerations The structural surveys of the towers will enable the progress of the applications to use the respective towers and ascertain if site is suitable and whether any structural works are required. Do nothing implications ESN Air will be unable to progress the applications if the tower checks are not undertaken nor ascertain if any of the towers require structural works. Other options considered, & why discounted The tower owners, Dyfed-Powys Police, Glynde Estates, NWP, require MFDCI to undertake the tower structural checks/ works to their respective towers. There is no alternative supplier option for tower checks on these towers.
