Future Opportunity Notice – Security and Crowd Management for the Bournemouth Air Festival from 2022

BCP Council will be looking for a dynamic and professional security company for the provision of security and crowd management for the Bournemouth Air Festival for 2022 with 4 further yearly extensions available up to 2026. The council is intending to commence a procurement process for a company to deliver the security and crowd management at Bournemouth Air Festival from 2022 in Autumn 2021.   The Bournemouth Air Festival attract approximately 800,000 visitors across 4 days and takes place usually the weekend after the August bank holiday in each year. The nature of an open event site in the town’s prime beach front location requires a dynamic and proactive security firm with strong crowd management experience to be involved with the complex planning of such a diverse site through the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and executing the staffing and delivery of the security, stewarding and crowd management during the event with a security management structure overseeing the operation.   Interested parties in delivering the security and crowd management services from 2022 onwards are welcome to come and see this years event (2 September 2021 to 5 September 2021) prior to the procurement process going live in Autumn 2021. This is not a mandatory requirement to bid for the opportunity but will support in suppliers understanding the requirements for delivering the services should a decision to bid be made. Interested parties will be responsible for their own costs in attending this years event.
