Tender description

Mini-Competition from the Scottish Government Internet of Things Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) - SP-18-033. Purchase of Sensors and Gateways to be deployed in schools in the East of Scotland region, creating a region-wide dataset. The University of Edinburgh’s Internet of Things (IoT) project is part of the Work Class Data Infrastructure (WCDI) / Data Driven Innovation (DDI) initiative. This procurement will allow the IoT team to expand their existing Edinburgh-wide LoRaWAN IoT communications network to encompass all primary and secondary schools across the City Deal region. The procurement is for deployment of sensors and gateways to the 550+ schools in the region, creating a region-wide dataset. The equipment will provide real-time data of variables including temperature, atmospheric pressure, light and noise levels, presence detection and carbon dioxide. In order to procure this equipment, we have conducted a mini-competition from the Scottish Government framework: Internet of Things – DPS (SP-18-033.).
