Temporary Driving Examiners as a Service

DVSA is looking to procure the services for the temporary supply of suitably qualified resource through which we can flexibly increase the supply of car practical driving tests (i.e. Category B tests) available to the public. Over the last 12 months the Covid pandemic has periodically forced the suspension of routine practical driving tests, causing a back log. In response, this procurement will result in a contract for the flexible supply of Experienced Driving Assessors. This will allow DVSA to increase the volume of examiner resource in response to this current demand and provide the flexibility to respond to peaks and troughs thereafter.
