SRH Laundry Refit

Tender description

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust wish to refurbish and refit their laundry operation located at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester to be fully compliant with HTM 01-04 and BS EN 14065. The laundry is currently processing circa 100,000 pieces per week on a single shift over 5 days. The refurbished operation must be capable of producing 100,000+ pieces in a 35-hour shift in a productive and energy efficient manner. This operation will then expand to 200,000+ pieces capacity over 2 shifts. The target maximum pieces for this unit over 2 shifts is 225,000 pieces. This tender will be a turnkey project with the main contractor being responsible for all machinery supply, mechanical and electrical services upgrades and all building work to provide a complete operational and efficient laundry. The successful tender will be spread over 2 financial years (including the current financial year) and will generally be in 2 phases to match capital allocation.
