Tender description

The proposed works include for health and safety, fire protection and cyclical maintenance works at 5nr sheltered housing sites (7 blocks). Full details on the major work elements are provided within the Procurement Documents. Elements include; - Representative asbestos survey and report prior to any construction or demolition works commencing - External site works including repairs and renewal of roads, paving, and fencing. - Minor roof repairs - Replacement rainwater goods - Insulation upgrade to roof voids - Cavity wall insulation extraction and filling - Fire compartmentation and firestopping works within roof void - Provision of new roof void corridor timber walkways and access ladder systems - Replacement external doors including new main entrance doors with automation - External painting of handrails, gates and fences - Redecoration of internal communal wall and ceiling finishes - Removal of timber T&G ceiling finishes and provision of new plasterboard ceiling (Drumhaw Fold) - Replacement suspended ceiling grid systems in communal areas - Replacement vinyl and carpet floor finishes to communal areas, including new PVC skirtings to wet rooms - Replacement of internal communal doors and fire doors and associated screens with new timber door sets/screens - Replacement of flat entrance doors - Repairs to some existing retained flat entrance/communal doors - Electrical upgrades including new communal lighting, new fire detection, new consumer units and warden call systems - Replacement kitchen serving hatches - Full fire-stopping survey of each building and subsequent remedial works ALL RESIDENTS ARE TO REMAIN IN OCCUPATION THROUGHOUT THE WORKS
