Tender description

Request for Information regarding Highlands and Islands Airports Limited’s requirement for the introduction of Flight Information Display systems at up to six HIAL aerodromes that currently operate without a surveillance radar. This is not a call for competition, pre-qualification or tender exercise at this stage. Lot 1: Highlands and Islands Airports Limited is issuing a Prior Information Notice and Request for Information for the introduction of Flight Information Display (FID) systems that collate position indications and other data from aircraft to support the provision of Flight Information Services. FID systems are expected to significantly enhance the safety performance of air traffic management at aerodromes where ATS surveillance systems do not currently exist, provided that the data is of sufficient quality to use. HIAL in considering investing in FID systems at up to six aerodromes over the next three years.
