<p>The Borough Council of Bolton (the &ldquo;Council&rdquo;) has been successful in securing Future High Street Fun (FHSF) monies for Farnworth and Towns Fund Monies for the Civic and Cultural Quarter of Bolton Town Centre. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) in their Monitoring and Evaluation Guidance advise that collection of footfall data is a mandatory requirement of the FHSF funding and that it is strongly recommended to collect this data for Towns Fund where interventions are occurring in or around the high street or town centre or where one of the aims is to attract more people into the town centre. The Council is now seeking the services of a data company (the &ldquo;successful provider&rdquo;) to provide footfall and visitor insight data for both Bolton and Farnworth town centres on a daily/evening basis as well as cyclist data in Farnworth to satisfy the monitoring needs of the &lsquo;Streets for All&rsquo; programme. Initially, this will be to provide a baseline against which the FHSF and Towns Fund success can be monitored and measured as well as the wider Bolton Town Centre Masterplan.
