Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (16+) Accommodation and Support Soft Market Testing Approach

Nottinghamshire County Council is conducting a soft market testing exercise in the subject area of Accommodation and Support for UASC and former UASC. Currently, UASCs over the age of 16 are accommodated as part of the mainstream 16+ Supported Accommodation offer and this is not effectively meeting their needs. Nottinghamshire County Council seeks to engage with the market in an outline proposal to commission a specific service for UASCs. This service would operate in the south of the county, which may include Nottingham City. It would include a small provision with higher levels of support for new arrivals, those undertaking Age Assessments and those with higher support needs. It would also include move on (cluster accommodation) with floating support. The contract will be a block contract for a fixed term.
