Supply of Clinical Resource: Clinical Safety Officer

The Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) will play a key role in shaping the safe delivery of national programmes. They will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, development and modification of the ITS (Integrated Tracing Service) and ensure that effective clinical risk management is carried out within Trace. The CSO will also provide a clinical safety assurance serviceby ensuring that the ITS being launched meets Clinical Safety standards (DCB0129).They will be responsible for: •managing and overseeing theassurance of the ITS and ensuring suppliers and other organisations meet the required safety standards•conducting a safety assessment process for internal programmes of work to ensure that all safety related risks associated with ITS are actively managed and that appropriate mitigations are applied•supporting Clinical Safety incident management in the live environment•reinforcing the safety culture and adherence to the Clinical Safety standards•provide CSO assessments for any new deployments in ITS (once ITS is live) and RTTS
