Tender description

The following provides an overview of the requirements for the Porthcawl Harbour Dredging Works. The requirements are as follows: -Approx. 5500m3 - 6500m3 material to be removed from the harbour (silt) with the aim to achieve a minimum of 1m additional depth across the site. -Map of the area attached. -Preferably Water Injection Dredging due to licensing requirements but will consider alternative methods providing all licensing and preliminary work falls within the set budget. -There is a floating pontoon system in place, so vessel needs to be manoeuvrable. -Lock gate is 6m in width so would need to be able to access through the lock gate or lifted into the marina via crane/hi-ab. Price for crane/hi-ab to be included within the tender price. -Any surveys required must be included within the tender price. - Harbour cill is at +3.45m CD and retained/impounded water level at the bottom of the sluice gates is +4.3m CD. The marina operates 3 hours either side of high water.
