Extension of Computer Aided Dispatch system contract

Tender description

NIAS is totally dependent on the Computer Aided Dispatch systems to run the ambulance services for Emergency and Patient Care services in Northern Ireland. These services are to be replaced and a procurement exercise is under way but has been significantly impacted and delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The current contract with the incumbent supplier expires on 31 December 2022 and it is estimated the new contract will not be awarded and operational until September 2023. A new contract under the existing terms has been agreed with the current supplier for the continuation of the existing Computer Aided Dispatch system until 31 December 2024 at the latest.
