Station cleaning project

Tender description

South Western Railway are seeking to enhance our current cleaning regimes through a combination of additional ‘weekly’ cleaning and the introduction of a ‘deep’ cleaning programme. The SWR network consists of 179 stations (this excludes Network Rail managed stations and the Island Line where other measures are in place). This tender will be split into two parts, Inner and Outer. The Inner part contains 93 stations within the SWR Metro and Central regions (as seen on map). The Outer part will contain 86 stations in the SWR West and South regions. As mentioned above, within each part there are two aspects: weekly and deep clean. Deep cleaning will be required at all stations and the regularity is dependent on the size and usage of the station. Not all stations qualify for a weekly clean however there are 67 stations within the Inner area and 24 in the Outer area.
