FORTHCOMING TENDER PROVIDER FEEDBACK OPPORTUNITY Recovery College Community Support Service in Milton Keynes To address the social care needs of adults experiencing mental distress and to support recovery Milton Keynes Council is about to embark on a tender process for the provision of a Recovery College Community Support Service for people 18 and above living inside the borough of Milton Keynes. The service will support those who are experiencing mental distress which is the primary need for support. This will include those who do not have a mental health diagnosis, as well as those who are already accessing both primary healthcare or specialist mental health services and those with a dual diagnosis. The overall purpose for the service provided is to address the social care needs of those experiencing mental distress and to support their recovery, working with them to develop a meaningful and satisfying life. This may be carried out in a structured or unstructured way, depending on the wishes of the individual. We are looking to work with a provider who can demonstrate and deliver a progressive model of Recovery College Community Support Service which achieves and maintains value for money, and which can meet the outcomes and support needs of our service users in Milton Keynes. The contract will be for three years with the budget of £162,000 per annum and £486,000 for the total contract value.
