CPH065 Sexual Health Research Project

Tender description

Derbyshire County and Derby City Council require a provider with a proven track record of research and evaluation to undertake a collaborative research project with Derbyshire Community Health Service NHS Foundation Trust, (DCHS NHS FT) the provider of the Derbyshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (ISHS), which will include developing the research skills of the ISHS team. We are interested in working with providers who can demonstrate specific skills, interests, and passion in working with sexual health and improving services for those who experience health inequalities. Derbyshire ISHS provides open access, confidential, non- judgemental services including Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Blood Borne Virus (BBV) testing, treatment and management; the full range of contraceptive provision, health promotion and prevention. The current economic challenges, pressure on resources, and changes in service delivery as a result of Covid 19, necessitate the need to ensure that sexual health service provision continues to meet the diverse needs of the local population, delivering best value for money. The vision for the project is an outcome focused approach that supports increased uptake in the use of services and the upskilling in the research skills amongst the ISHS team.
