Resettlement Programme

Tender description

Clare County Council is inviting tender responses from voluntary and community organisations to support the resettlement of refugees in Co. Clare under the Resettlement Programme. The programme will run for 18 months from March 2021. This may be extended depending on availability of funds. Clare County Council is the lead agency supporting the resettlement of 80 refugee number of families yet to be determined in Co. Clare. The resettlement is being steered and monitored by a local resettlement interagency working group that includes representatives from statutory, voluntary and community groups. The Department of Justice & Equality also participate, on the Resettlement Interagency Working Group. The main objective is to support refugees from Syria who have been resettled in the Clare area. It will involve supporting the refugees on a daily basis to access services appropriately, and building capacity both in the new arrivals and in the receiving communities as the refugees adapt to their new life in Co.
