The Department of Foreign Affairs Passport Service is considering renewal of its IT systems in the area of facial recognition. In this Request for Information (RFI) the Department invites economic operators to provide information on their proposed solution. The Department is requesting prospective economic operators to identify if they have the capability to provide a facial recognition solution. Information submitted may be utilised by the Department of Foreign Affairs for this purpose. It should be noted that this is Market Sounding exercise and not a tender. As such, no expectation of business should be arise from this exercise. Interested parties are requested to complete the short questionnaire attached to this document, and to submit via e Tenders prior to the closing time and date. Responses received will in no way prejudice organisations from participating in the subsequent tender, and are solely being sought, on a confidential basis. Participation or non-participation in the market sounding will not convey an advantage or disadvantage on any service provider.
