Summary of the work We require a supplier to engage with mobile infrastructure providers to assess the interest from the market to this proposal (in a report); conduct a detailed valuation of our stock for rental income and assist in the development of legal terms to be used as part of any rental agreement. Expected Contract Length 12 months from start date Latest start date Monday 1 March 2021 Budget Range A budget of £40,000-£50,000 is available for the work described. Further work packages may be available subject to agreement. Why the Work is Being Done The Council is committed to providing first class services for its residents and striving to drive the region into the new digital future. As an authority, we have identified new 5G mobile technologies as an exciting opportunity to improve the digital life of our residents, provide improved technologies for our local economy and assist the Council to improve and streamline its service delivery. The Council is considering offering its extensive range of assets, primarily, but not exclusively, its street lighting column stock as 5G small cell transmitter sites on an annual rental basis. All work must be completed by 28 February 2022. (Market Report by 30 June 2021; Asset Valuation Report by 30 November 2021; Legal Terms finalised by 28 February 2022). Who Are the Users As a 5G user, I need to ability to access 5G technology across the Council's geographical area and so that maximise the opportunities realisable with 5G technology.
