JFS is a new voluntary provision covering Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) offering a service for recently unemployed people (up to 3 months unemployed or those who are about to become unemployed) who may not need significant help with the jobsearch, but would benefit from a short, tailored package of tailored support to help them become familiar with current recruitment practices and understand sector specific approaches The aim of the provision is to help unemployed people early in their claim who would benefit from short, time-limited digital and online support to improve their core job finding capability, including online recruitment know-how and interview skills. The provider will also undertake job matching of participants to vacancies and encourage recruitment flexibility among employers where individuals have transferable skills.
