The emptying and inspection and removal of blockages at septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits, wells and pumping stations etc. at various operational Council properties located within the geographical boundaries of East Riding of Yorkshire. Lot 1: The emptying and inspection and removal of blockages at septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits, wells and pumping stations etc. at various operational Council properties located within the geographical boundaries of East Riding of Yorkshire. East Riding of Yorkshire Council owns and controls approximately 80 properties, throughout the County, that contain septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits, wells and pumping stations operating 24/7. The contract scope of work includes the creation, provision and/or verification of as installed information, undertaking planned emptying of septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits, wells and pumping stations with minor maintenance works at most sites to ensure that sites meet operational and safety standards for access and egress and the provision of a 24/7 call out service for emergency response for emptying and clearance of blockages and associated investigation work to attend at any applicable location in the East Riding of Yorkshire within the prescribed times. Working restrictions will apply. The contract will cover the emptying of septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits, wells and pumping stations etc. for buildings that are the responsibility of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, in order to meet its requirements under the following legislation/ standards: The Health and Safety at Work Act and Environment Agency Regulations. Private households in the locales being maintained by this contract also have the right to access this agreement to maintain similar systems
