T0104 MCHW Geotechnical Update

Tender description

Highways England "the Client" is seeking the provision of services to undertake the update of the Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works (MCHW) which relate to Geotechnics. The MCHW update is required to enhance its usability, structure, content, contract neutrality and applicability to new construction techniques and materials. The benefits of the MCHW update are expected to accumulate over the years (RIS2 and beyond), through quicker production of contract documents, easier application to modern forms of contracts, increased project delivery efficiency, improved construction quality, fewer departures, enhanced innovation, efficient use of resources, improved safety and service, and more efficient production and maintenance of the MCHW in future.
