Scoping Review Nursing Configuration In Medical Oncology And Haematology Day Unit Settings

Tender description

The Health Services Executive invites quotations for the provision of a report based on the literature (including grey literature) on the configuration, role and function of nursing teams in medical oncology and haematology day unit settings (SACT day unit settings) in Ireland and internationally. It will examine and provide evidence from the literature on: • The number and types of nurses, referenced to patient volume, patient acuity and treatment complexity, the type of SACT setting • The role and function of the individual nursing grades and specialisations. • The impact of nursing configuration on quality of care, patient outcomes and staff outcomes. This will be used to inform the future role and function of the SACT Nursing Team in Ireland.
