Tender description

Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of five (5) Cutters. One of these Cutters, HMC Vigilant (Damen 4207 Class), has a requirement for a period of works. The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (SoR) - C18064 - SoR - HMC Vigilant - MSER - vf1 NB: Due to the fluidity of the operational planning surrounding the response of Her Majesty's Government of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Authority, at the time this Statement of Requirements was written, cannot provide a definitive date for requirement implementation. Therefore, the Authority will use the following timeline for this contract only. It is as follows 1. Compliant bids submitted by Friday 8th May 2020, 1200hrs BST. 2. Evaluation of received complaint bids will take place between 9th May and 15th May 2020. 3. The Authority will award on conclusion of its evaluation of bids, but no later than the 15th May 2020. 4. The contract is to commence no earlier than 16th May 2020 and no later than 11th June 2020. 5. This package of works is expected to run for between ten (10) and fifteen (15) working days. The Authority reserves the right to withdraw this requirement during any stage of this process. This package is to be undertaken in the following geographic areas; 1. UK - between Portland and Sunderland 2. Europe - between Cherbourg, France and Rotterdam, The Netherlands Bidders are required to submit their written quotations in both .pdf and .docx formats. The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the complete and specified work package. The quotation is to be submitted in currency, GBP. Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to; Ian McDermott, Home Office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk , confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation. Furthermore, Supplier acknowledgment is required upon submission of bids, that; 1. the Authority reserves the right to withdraw this requirement during any stage of this process, and; 2. agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (C18064 - T&Cs - HMC Vigilant - MSER) on which the contract will be awarded is required. Quotations should also be accompanied by a Cardinal Date Plan (CDP) as stated in the SoR, section 5.4. All required documentation should be submitted via email to Ian McDermott, at the address above, no later than: 1200hrs BST, Friday 8th May 2020.
