see documentation Lot 1: C1 Client Advisor Role - Airport and General Planning Advice & representation through all stages of the planning process, from initial council negotiations, objections, permission, to appeals against planning refusals, including: Airport development & site appraisals Airport planning and general planning applications objections by third parties negotiations with council planning authorities presentations at council committees permission & conditions listed buildings & conservation areas Green Belt & countryside planning appeals against refusals of consent advocacy at hearings lawful development/use certificates planning and infrastructure agreements enforcement of planning controls appeals enforcement compulsory purchase & compensation joint agreements subject to planning issues Lot 2: C2 - Client Advisor Role - Civil and Structual Engineering Advice & representation in regard to services including: Structural Assessment Building Extensions Structural Surveys Building Defect Diagnosis Subsidence and Heave Investigation Floor & Roof Loadings Lot 3: C3 - Client Advisor Role - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Advice & representation in regard to services including: Surveys, including condition surveys Assessment of existing plant and equipment Holistic view of assets, and provision of short, medium and long-term solutions Incorporation of energy saving, carbon reduction schemes Review and develop Mechanical and Electrical Specifications / Standards for BAL and for each project when required Mechanical systems at BAL include: Air Conditioning & Comfort Cooling Plant Mains Cold Water & Boosted Cold Water Systems Renewable & Sustainable Solutions Heat Generation Plant District heating and Combined Heat & Power Generation Hot & Cold-Water Distribution Hot Water Generation Plant Gas Distribution Systems Above Ground Drainage Below Ground Drainage Building Management & Control Systems Electrical Systems at BAL include: Mains and sub-mains power distribution Cable containment systems Small power & ancillary services Internal & external lighting systems Emergency lighting systems Specialist lighting design and control systems Lightning protection systems Data & Communications Services Earthing and bonding requirements Standby generation & UPS systems HV (11KV) & LV power supplies & distribution systems Renewable technology power requirements Power and controls wiring associated with mechanical services systems Lot 4: C4 - Client Advisor - Baggage handling Systems and associated infrastructure dvice & representation in regard to services including: Assessment of existing baggage system and associated infrastructure Process Mapping Baggage System Efficiency Baggage Systems Design Baggage System Integration Evaluation/Analysis & Scope Definition Security Management System Design & Specification Data Modelling & Simulation Design Management Process Analysis & Refinement Testing, Commissioning and Handover Explosive Detection and 100% Hold baggage screening Innovation & Development Lot 5: C5 - Client Advisor Role - fire Engineering Services Advice & representation in regard to services including: Fire Engineering Solutions Development of Fire Safety Strategies for Buildings Design of Smoke Control Systems Advice on the need for Fire Resisting Construction: Compartmentation, Fire Stopping CFD Modelling Structural Fire Protection Analyses Means of Escape Calculations Guidance on meeting current and future legislation Fire Safety Design Review and Audit Plan Checking for Building Regulations Compliance Liaison with Building Control and Fire Authority Insurance / Regulatory Compliance Fire & Building Risk Assessments Fire Safety Audit Lot 6: C6 - Client Advisor - Air Traffic Systems Advice & representation in regard to services associated with Capital Projects including: Air Traffic Control operational expertise Independent assurance reviews Advice in relation to ATM systems and emerging technology Aviation improvement and innovation, Safety Assurance and Safety System Design Safety Case Development (CAP 791) HazID Safety Assurance Audits Risk Analysis and Failure Mode Analysis. Factory Acceptance Testing / Site Acceptance Testing Lot 7: C7 - Client Advisor - Airfield Ground Lighting Systems Advice & representation in regard to services associated with Capital Projects including: • Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Systems – both AGL Control Systems, Runway / Taxiway Lighting, Approach Lighting, CCR Regulator and Primary / Secondary Circuit provisions. Lot 8: D1 - Civil Engineering Design Complex environment design centred around manoeuvring areas, aprons, taxiways, and perimeter roads. Supporting infrastructure designs such as Airfield Drainage, Pavement Design, Utility Design, Airfield Lighting, Signage, Airfield Fuelling, Airfield Security, Surveys and Geotechnical. Fulfil the role of ‘Designer’ in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 Lot 9: D2 - Architectural Design Services Deliver architectural services Act as Lead Designer when required Leading architectural and construction techniques. Supporting both new building design, new construction and alterations, commercial and residential Capital investments Surveys, space planning, Interior design, relocation plans and office design. Fulfil the role of ‘Designer’ in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 Lot 10: D3 - Structural Design Deliver Structural Designs – new construction and buildings, with associated technical reviews, testing techniques and analysis of materials. Undertaking costs, risks, and sustainability reviews. Contributing to the wider design groups in collaboration with other disciplines Fulfil the role of ‘Designer’ in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 Lot 11: D4 - Mechanical and Electrical Design Services Deliver Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Design in a sustainable manner. Supporting modern building initiatives and airport infrastructure requirements. Fulfil the role of ‘Designer’ in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 Lot 12: D5 - Transport and Traffic Design Services Apron and Stand Planning Design Simulation and Modelling Car Park Design Road and Junction Design Transport Assessment Fulfil the role of ‘Designer’ in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 Lot 16: C8 Sustainability and Life Cycle Costing Development of value tool kits to target and support assessment of capital investment focussed on sustainable outcomes
